World Cup points for Lila Lapanja

At the World Cup slalom race in Levi, Stöckli athlete Lila Lapanja gained World Cup points. On Sunday, she was also the third-best American woman.

World Cup points for Lila Lapanja

the first World Cup slalom race of the season. While the two Swiss athletes – in fact, Nicole Good, 22, started a World Cup race for the first time ever – left without points, Lapanja broke into the top 30 for just the second time in her career since 2016.

“I really had a lot of fun today skiing this course,” said the 25-year-old American after the race. My gear worked out great, physically I’m in top shape, and on the upper part of the course I performed very well. That was the praise from Lapanja about the conditions of the “Levi Black Hole” run. “In Levi I completed a full circle. It has been more than four years since I won my first World Cup points in Flachau. Today’s results are for me really special.” Beni Matti, head of racing for Stöckli, also noted his satisfaction with the showing. “Lila skied very well in both races up to the top of the escarpment. Then she pulled the brake just a bit. On Sunday, perhaps as a reaction to the mistakes made on Saturday. Looking toward the World Championships, key for Lila is that she was in fact the third-best American.”
