Marielle Thompson and Stöckli in best form for the World Championships

In the race on Blue Mountain in Canada, no competitor had a chance against 24-year-old Marielle Thompson who already decided the overall World Cup for herself last week. Right from the start of this race she made her way to the top rank, leaving all her opponents behind.
Fanny Smith was equally successful, coming in third and thus gaining not only valuable World Cup points but also landing the third place on the leader table.

On the men's team it was mainly the Canadian Chris Del Bosco whose brilliant performance in the home race put him in the second final place, marking his very first podium spot of the season. Additional Top 10 placements were made by Armin Niederer, Dave Duncan and Alex Fiva. For Alex Fiva this ranking put him on the third rank in the overall World Cup standing.

The season is not yet completely finished. What remains are the World Championships in the Spanish Sierra Nevada. Our athletes appear to really be in top form and Stöckli looks forward to seeing them perform.
