No medal for Stöckli but promising perspectives for the next races

Today marked the official start of the WC in St. Moritz with the women's Super G. Stöckli had 2 aces starting for the first medal, namely Viktoria Rebensburg and Ilka Stuhec. The result was close but didn't quite suffice for a medal.

No medal for Stöckli but promising perspectives for the next races

What a thriller this first WC race in St. Moritz was! Filled with hope, Stöckli was at the start with its 4 athletes Ilka Stuhec, Viktoria Rebensburg, Jasmine Flury and Marusa Ferk. Vicky Rebensburg was leading in the first three split times but then made a fatal mistake on the lower part of the piste that cost her the medal.  She wound up on the somewhat annoying but excellent 4th place! Ilka Stuhec came in 11th, Jasmine 17th and Marusa made it to the 30th rank.

Altogether our athletes delivered very promising performances and we already look forward to the next races! Tomorrow the show will continue with the men's Super-G!

Meanwhile you still have the chance to support our athletes on site – Stöckli is also present in St. Moritz. For further information see:  http://www.stoeckli.ch/inten/wc-2017
