Fanny Smith is Vice Champion!

What a fabulous ski cross season for Stöckli! On the heels of Marielle Thompson's overall World Cup victory, Stöckli's Swiss ski cross athlete, Fanny Smith, won the silver medal at the World Championships in Sierra Nevada. Congratulations, Fanny!

Fanny Smith is Vice Champion!

Spanish Sierra Nevada was the venue for the World Championships in ski cross this past weekend.  The 24-year-old Swiss Fanny Smith was in top form and fought her way up to the podium where she was honored with the silver medal. This medal marks her third World Champion medal, giving her a complete set. In 2013 she won gold with the World Champion title in Voss, in 2015 she celebrated the bronze medal and now silver in Sierra Nevada.

For Stöckli this marks the 6th medal in a ski cross World Championship.

Further Top 10 ranks were achieved by the Canadian, Marielle Thompson (5th), Georgia Simmerling (7th), Marte Hoeie Gjefsen (9th) and Chris Del Bosco (9th).

2 victories and 6 Top 10 rankings for Stöckli

What a weekend! In Lake Louise Stöckli's new team member, Ilka Stuhec, decided both downhill races in her favor. In addition several other Stöckli athletes fought their way right up into the top 10, winning valuable World Cup points in the process.
