2 victories make for an unforgettable weekend
Jasmine Flury celebrated her sensational first World Cup win in the Super-G at St. Moritz, and Canadian Chris Del Bosco won the opening men’s Ski Cross race in Val Thorens.
What a weekend it was for Stöckli athletes! We celebrated two victories at the same time. The first, thanks to our strong Ski Cross team, which lined up on Friday for its first World Cup race of the season in Val Thorens (FR). Among the men, two athletes were in the finals, and veteran Canadian Chris Del Bosco asserted himself against the competition for the 11th time in his career. Jonas Lenherr nailed a solid fourth.
On Saturday, then, came the surprise from our young Swiss skier Jasmine Flury. She used her home field advantage and the good visibility at the Super G race in St. Moritz to demonstrate her huge potential. With that, Jasmine won her first World Cup race ever. Just spectacular! With start bib No. 1, Viktoria Rebensburg (6th) gave a strong performance but missed the podium due to poor visibility.
The season for Stöckli has started ideally with 4 World Cup victories (3 Alpine ski, 1 Ski Cross).
We are certainly looking forward to the next race....
